Sylvia walked passed the nursing home where she used to live. She didn't go in. She just wanted to see the place. She knew her grandson was inside. The poor boy has to live the life she had been living. Thomas has dentures in his mouth to help him chew and hearing aids to help him hear. His joints are painful due to arthritis. He isn't strong enough to walk without a walker. Even his thoughts are confused. Sylvia feels sorry for Thomas, but what can she do, it was either her or her grandson and she'll never go back...besides Thomas asked her what he could do to help her out. It's not that it's all bunnies and rainbows for her either, when she told Thomas's parents (her children) that she wanted to live as a woman, they threw her out of what used to be her home.
